All too often we find ourselves struggling with picking out the right brush, completely dumbfounded and confused by the selection of bristles, sizes and types out there. Thoughts whirling– heaven forbid extra large round brushes, boar bristle this, denman brush that– our minds plagued with frustrating thoughts as to what the difference is between different size and bristled round-brushes?!!

Lo and behold. At Rain, we not only believe in providing quality services to our wonderful patrons but also in educating clients in the self-grooming world of brushes, products and styling. Congratulations to Miss Sahar Biniaz, Miss Universe Canada 2012. Rain Boutique and Salon proudly sponsored Vancouver-based Sahar Biniaz as she prepared for the Miss Universe Canada competition this past May 19th.

Rain’s own Aaron Brousseau worked some hair magic and took on Sahar’s mane as he cut and highlighted her gorgeous locks weeks before her competition in Toronto.

Senior stylist Dylan Raine hails from High River, Alberta but has spent most of his hairdressing career in Calgary and Vancouver. This Toni and Guy-trained stylist is best known at Rain for his impeccable bobs, long beachy layers, sunkissed natural highlights. If he has done your hair, you have most likely referred your mother to see him. With Dylan, even our moms feel reassured that they are going to be well taken care of!

Dylan’s approach to hair is simple and straightforward: he believes in maintaining the integrity of hair while enhancing its natural attributes. As a professional hair stylist, Dylan believes that it is his responsibility to educate himself on different hair types and to educate his clients to love and understand what they have.

Dylan is also one of Rain’s lead educators. He teaches classes and workshops in the latest cutting, colouring and styling techniques and loves editorial styling. If he wasn’t in the hair industry, Dylan would love to be involved in music (he plays the guitar and bagpipes). All things considered, he’s a cheeky, chatty cat with some serious talent.
